Position Title: Sales Executive Group Retiree Lead

Position Summary:

Reporting to the AVP, Group Retiree at Alignment Healthcare, the Sales Executive Lead will be responsible for Alignment Group Retiree Sales to drive membership sales, growth, retention, and overall relationship development within assigned market(s) and/or territory(s).

Requires an innovative self-starter with proven track record, drive, initiative, and experience selling group health plans to Labor, Trust Fund, and Public sector clients. This individual will be required to develop an actionable and measurable strategic sales and accounts plan to achieve company goals and objectives.

Lead Sales Executive to provide recommendations for process, operational, service, and technology improvements. Must adhere to company guidelines and required timelines.

The ideal candidate must be articulate, polished, professional, and builds trust internally and externally.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

• Utilize and leverage new and existing relationships to execute retiree sales strategies, generating RFP/RFIs to meet and exceed Group Retiree growth and retention goals.
• Assists and advises clients on determining, developing, and designing group retiree-specific benefit plans that will best suit the client and their retiree objectives.
• Manage and develop agency and consultant relationships including education on plan designs, company updates, and CMS compliance guidance as applicable.
• Acts on behalf of Alignment and the AVP of Group Retiree to develop, respond, and present competitive pricing and terms during the negotiation and renewal process.
• Provide ongoing retiree sales trainings, education, and best practices with internal and external partners, including member education seminars for accounts.
• Create executive summaries and reports to include pipeline, competitor analysis, and (SWOTs) Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats analysis within respective market(s) and/or territory(s).
• Actively and in a timely manner update CRM to ensure each point of contact is documented throughout the selling and account management process.
• KPIs include but are not limited to: Sales, Retention/Renewal Rate, Growth, Profitability, RFPs, Close Rate, Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of group health plan sales, account management, or leadership experience required.
Established relationships within Labor, Trust Fund, and/or Public sector required.
Medicare knowledge with group health insurance and retiree sales preferred.

Education/Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current and active health insurance license within respective selling states preferred.

Other:
Must have reliable means of transportation to get to all sales and account management activities and appointments.
Extremely organized, detail driven and a self-starter.
An innovator and effective leader with the ability to motivate partners, community affiliates and provider relationships.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
Exceptional computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
