Position Summary:

This role will be responsible for standing up Alignment Healthcare’s Integration Management Office (IMO) to oversee all post-acquisition integrations.  Effectively communicates the rationale for strategic deals to align stakeholders, from both the acquiring and partnering organizations, to develop robust integrations plans with associated milestones, timelines, and performance metrics. Creates a shared sense of accountability by building strong relationships and applying change management principles to successfully execute on integration objectives that ultimately result in capturing the maximum benefit of the transactions. Has overall responsibility to drive end to end execution of Integrations.

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

  • Establish an Integration Management Office (IMO) commensurate with the number of integrations the enterprise plans to execute, with the ability to scale as needed
  • Participates in the Due Diligence phases of the Transaction Life Cycle with the Corporate Development Team. Has a shared understanding of the strategic objectives, identification of partners of interest (including assessment of organizational fit) and evaluation of the potential opportunities and value the transactions will bring as well as all associated risks
  • Oversees the development and implementation of integration plans during the Diligence and Integration phases to successfully execute transactions including developing 100-day and post close plan, pursuing operational and financial synergies and goals to capture value by establishing integration objectives with key metrics of success
  • Oversees complex, integration initiatives including structuring and managing integration projects, facilitating the development / deployment of analytics processes, helping to forge consensus among key stakeholders and ensuring adequate business cases to support the work
  • Build cross-team relationships to manage cultural integration and applies change management principles to the overall integration
  • Responsible for establishing the structure and governance model to execute integrations including the following bodies: Integration Steering Committees, Integration Planning Committee, and the Integration Management Office (IMO)
  • Establish the IMO to monitor overall integration plans, ensuring key timelines/milestones are met and operational and financial performance metrics are achieved
  • Develops and maintains integration related data, analytic tools, and project management methodologies, while collaborating with and leveraging resources of other related departments
  • Educates stakeholders on integration technical capabilities (developing integration plans that identify synergies and dis-synergies to create value and mitigate risks) and has the ability to influence without authority (working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and change management) within the organization
  • Works with appropriate Leadership and Governance to remove barriers and manage risks to drive to successful execution. Will report out routinely and revise integration plans on an agreed upon basis
  • Leads the transition from Integration to Operationalization, the official phase when integration ends and the work transitions to the operational business owners/day-to-day operations
  • Commissions the Post Integration Review of Lessons Learned, gathering information via in-person/virtual interviews with key stakeholders, after action reviews, online surveys from work stream leads in determining and aligning on best practices to use in future transactions

·       Minimum Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, M&A activity, or project management

 

·       Education/Licensure:

Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law or other pertinent fields is preferred.

 

·       Other:

a.      M&A Experience Preferred

b.     Integration Experience Preferred

c.      Project Management Experience Preferred

d.     Financial Modeling Experience Preferred

e.      Executive Presentation Skills

f.      Required to travel 25%
