Position Summary:

Alignment Healthcare is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to manage large projects or multiple projects from inception through project close-out for multiple business units and manage vendor partnerships. As a PM, you will ensure project(s) are delivered on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project. You will also oversee all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress of project.  For managing vendor partnerships, that will include daily management as well as new enhancements

As a PM, you will work directly with stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Stakeholders are generally internal business partners, development staff, and subject matter experts (SMEs); depending on the work, the stakeholder group may also include external resources (vendors, consultants, or contractors.)

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

·       Manage vendor partnerships such as dental, vision, and non-emergent transportation which includes daily account management, operational enhancements, implementation and/or de-implementation.

·       Evaluates, tracks, and responds to customer-requested exceptions, develops alternatives, and identifies trends for improvements.

·       Produce and analyze management reports to demonstrate and monitor vendor performance in accordance with contractual and performance targets.

·       Create, review, and update process workflows to ensure good practice and efficiencies are maintained between vendor, Alignment, and members.

·       Create and manage Request For Proposal (RFP) projects in coordination with the Procurement team including creation of RFP, collection of responses, and facilitating a structured review process

·       Coordinate projects involving IT implementation, from vendor assessment through go-live and training.

·       Assist in defining project scope and objectives, and ensure all relevant stakeholders are involved to vet technical feasibility.

·       Create and maintain all project management documents and events related to project execution, from project charter, project plan and shared calendar, to defining sub-teams and hosting online and in-person meetings, presentations, and training.

·       Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress; publish with summary updates to meet the needs of various stakeholders.

·       Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs, using appropriate tools and methods.

·       Facilitate multi-department and third-party collaboration.

·       Perform risk management and mitigation; regularly report risks and issues and escalate them to management as needed.

·       Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

·       Drive team members to assess implementation requirements against on-going system maintenance and other initiatives.

·       Coordinate the creation and maintenance of the deliverables of internal or vendor subject matter expert (SME), such as business requirements documents, workflow diagrams, executive summaries, and technical specifications.

·       Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

·       Perform other related duties as assigned.

·       Minimum Experience:

·       3 years of related work experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, government, etc)

·       Strong meeting facilitation skills

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint. Ability to perform data analysis/research and summarize key findings in presentation

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Experience working with senior executives

 

·       Education/Licensure:

·       Bachelor's degree

·       Project manager certification and / or formal project management training, (experience in a similar role will be considered as an acceptable substitute)

·       Preferred Requirements

·       Health insurance, healthcare industry, or Medicare experience preferred

·       Basic SQL

·       Agile / Scrum familiarity
