Position Summary:

The Operations Project manager will provide leadership, coordination, and project planning to ensure development and implementation of back office and clinical programs and new initiatives for the operations organization.   In this role the Operations Project Manager will partner with Clinical, Marketing, Sales, Member Experience, Provider, Claims, AGD, and Technology departments to formulate and execute plans to ensure seamless and timely execution of all deliverables within budget.

 

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

·         Work closely with internal stakeholders to set project scope including goals, objectives, milestones, deliverables and obtaining organizational buy-in and management approval.

·         Manages complex projects or multiple projects of moderate to difficult complexity and proactively assess projects for potential problem areas.

·         Develop project work plans by defining tasks, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and procuring resources.

·         Execute activities by leading interdisciplinary workgroups in analyzing, planning, and implementing programs. Effectively facilitates teams and manages relationships.

·         Monitor and control work by measuring progress and correcting course when activities go beyond scope or are not meeting goals and objectives.

·         Understand details of CMS compliance & quality metrics, interdepartmental functions, and operations to effectively coordinate and effectuate project deliverables.

·         Conduct research on specific issues; investigate, develop, and evaluate options to formulate recommendations for the clinical and operational teams.

·         Effectively communicate, analyze, and provide support in the development of quality initiatives.

·         Write policies and procedures and standard operating procedures.

·         Ensure all project documentation is completed and filed/stored in an organized fashion.

·         Maintain positive relationships within Alignment Healthcare business units and operational departments and other project stakeholders by coordinating information exchange, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and risks, and maintaining project documentation.

·         Exercise creativity and flexibility by determining the appropriate combination of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques for assigned projects.

·         Uphold customer confidence by maintaining information in a confidential manner.

·         Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

·         Minimum Experience:

o   Strong healthcare quality and analysis skills including understanding of basic research methods, and ability to make decisions accordingly.

o   Intermediate to Advanced understanding of project management with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management.

o   Intermediate to advanced proficiency required in MS Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project Professional. Beginner to intermediate skills in PowerPoint.

·         Education/Licensure:

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, required.

o   PMP Certification, preferred. If not certified, relevant experience is required with expectation of certification within agreed upon timeframe after hire.

·         Other:

o   Excellent presentation skills; group motivation and supervisory skills.

o   Strong strategic planning, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

o   Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
