Position Title: Operations Manager

External Description:

Responsible for providing supervision and leadership to the care centers and support staff within a particular market.  Position will require management of administrative and/or clinical staff.   

General Duties/Responsibilities:

(May include but are not limited to)

  • Assist with developing, implementing, monitoring care center policies and procedures.
  • Ensures office processes are efficient, support care center goals, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to take initiative to resolve issues / problems with local market leadership
  • Analyzes daily office operations and utilization of resources.
  • Manage patient flow and able to step in and assist team members as needed.
  • Maintains medical and office supplies at an acceptable level and manages inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available for patient care.
  • Maintains all medical equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintain all appropriate infection control protocols
  • Manages facility issues daily including security alarms, facility cleanliness, damaged items, etc.
  • Resolves all facility needs and requests.  Ensures facilities are in working order.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels and morale.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports
  • Aides in development of market productivity goals and helps to manage program to budget.
  • Able to act as spokesperson for the Alignment Clinical Model including conducting trainings and presentations for local partners including health plans, PCPs, medical groups, etc. 
  • Excellent presentation skills.  Ability to conduct tours of clinics to a wide range of internal and external individuals/groups.
  • Manage customer expectations and develop trainings/plans to consistently exceed organizational targets for member experience
  • Able to work with local market leadership including network, sales and medical/clinical leadership.
  • Provides administrative support and reports to Regional Manager of Operations or Director of Care Centers Operations.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 

  1. Minimum Experience:
    1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a physician office, including working knowledge of managed care.
    2. At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
    3. Experience with Medicare and Medicaid patients preferred.
    4. Knowledge and experience with managed care or insurance plans preferred.
  2. Education/Licensure:
    1. High School Diploma Required. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
    2. Medical Training preferred with Medical Assistant, LPN/LVN or RN background.
    3. CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
    4. Current Driver’s License.
  3. Other:
    1. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred for certain territories, but not required.
    2. Strong Microsoft Office Experience including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
