Position Summary:

The Manager, Community Outreach is a valued member of the Sales and Community Outreach team. They will serve as an invaluable aid in helping to manage a team of regional Ambassadors who will be driving awareness amongst targeted consumers and members to understand the company, its value propositions, and its unique benefits and services.

 

The Manager, Community Outreach will oversee and grow a regionally based team of Ambassadors who are the organization’s brand champions creating brand awareness and generating leads. As a link between The Alignment and the local senior community, this team member will be responsible for overseeing our team of Ambassadors.

 

The Manager, Community Outreach, will directly manage local area market Community Marketing Outreach Representatives and sales support, working directly with the Regional Sales Director in Los Angeles County, mentoring, and supporting the internal sales team and Community Marketing Outreach Representatives, ensuring branding and event marketing, brand awareness, and lead generation tracking.

 

In collaboration with local Sales Leaders and Community Marketing Outreach Representatives, the Manager, Community Outreach will help establish regional Community Marketing Outreach Representatives engagement goals and objectives. They will ensure Community Marketing Outreach Representatives & Ambassadors become key influencers in their communities, establishing networks and relationships to market the brand via word-of-mouth marketing (i.e., referring friends, neighbors, family, aligning with Senior community groups, sales events, etc.)

 

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

·       Partner with Sales and Community Outreach Representatives to ensure Ambassadors are able to participate and assist at various community events and activities.

·      Supports efforts of the Sales and Community Outreach Representatives by fostering a sense of goodwill toward Alignment among prospective member and members who may have question about the plan.

·       Managing team of Ambassadors to develop, execute and complete assignments

·       Manage workflow and expenses

·       Coordinate  training for  new hires (Ambassadors)

·       Create and manage team schedules

·       Ensure adherence to legal, compliance and company policies

·       Document operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management

·       Set key performance indicators to measure success

·       Filling out and approving schedules and hours for payroll

·       Distribute marketing materials to Ambassadors

·       Recording employee accomplishments

·       Review and approve expenses and manage budgets

·       Travel within market is required to attend events as needed and requested

·       Report to Pasadena office days 2 per a week

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees assigned staff. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

1.      Minimum Experience:

o   Administrative, supervisory, budgeting, and personnel management experience

o   Knowledge of Alignment’s mission and values, benefits, services, and programs

2.      Education/Licensure:

o   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.

3.      Other:

o   5+ years of related experience, including a supervisory role in a sales, direct marketing, or customer service.

o       Baseline knowledge of Alignment’s vision and mission as well as benefits, services, and programs.

o       Comfortable with face-to-face and virtual interactions.

    • Must be willing to work in a team atmosphere.

o   Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.

o   Ability to consistently to meet or exceed sales leads targets or goals.

o   Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.

o   Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

o   Excellent project management skills.

o   Proficient in the use of Microsoft office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

o   Proven success with time management and organizational skills.

o   Prior experience in healthcare preferred.

o   Bilingual skills preferred.

o   Access to reliable transportation required; if you are driving a vehicle, you must comply with all the terms of the Landmark Motor Vehicle Safety policy
